Mr. Castner, P.E.

Mr. Castner

Jeff Castner has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and currently manages the engineering department for a fire protection design and installation company. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in six states via the Fire Protection PE exam, and due to his background at a design and installation company, specializes in clean agent, sprinkler, and fire alarm.

Mr. Favale, P.E., CFPS, NICET WBSL II

Mr. Favale

Vincent T. Favale is the head of the special projects and special hazards for fire protection and life safety projects for WSP, based in NYC. He is also an adjunct instructor at NYU SPS in NYC. He brings 10 years of professional experience to the firm. His experience covers a broad range of commercial facilities. His professional experience includes Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Life Safety designs for large-scale projects, and specializes in special hazards and special projects, most notably in alternate energy applications, such as off-shore wind farms, and energy storage systems (Li-ion batteries), and solar system. He has earned a Master of Science degree in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts. He has several certifications in the industry including, a PE in Mechanical Thermal Fluids design, and a PE in Fire Protection, along with a CPD, is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) from (NFPA), and a level II Water-based Fire Protection Systems layout from NICET.

Mr. Kascak, P.E.

Mr. Kascak

Daniel Kascak is a registered professional engineer (PE) in the state of Ohio and a fire and life

safety expert with over thirteen years of experience providing consulting and design services.

He is responsible for the design of active fire protection systems, including sprinkler, fire

pumps, fire water underground distribution systems, fire detection and alarm, special hazard,

and smoke control system. In addition, he has extensive experience with the International

Building and Fire Codes, NFPA codes and standards, and FM Global Loss Prevention Data

sheets.

He has been involved with the design of oil & gas, chemical, power, manufacturing, high-rise,

performing arts and cultural centers, government, health care, corporate headquarters, and

higher education projects.

He has passed the fire protection engineering written examination administered by the

National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and is a member of the

National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

Ms. Klarsfeld, P.E.

Ms. Klarsfeld

Lauren Klarsfeld is a licensed Fire Protection Engineer in New York. After graduating from

Cornell University with a BS in Civil Engineering, she spent the beginning of her career working

on plumbing and fire protection design for high rise buildings in NYC. She now works solely in

the fire protection field focusing on fire suppression, fire detection/alarm, and life safety for

mainly industrial applications.

Mr. Landmesser, P.E.

Mr. Landmesser Mr. Landmesser has 10 years of experience as a fire protection, nuclear and systems engineer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Upon receiving his degree in fire protection engineering from the University of Maryland in 2009, he joined the Nonreactor Nuclear Division (NNFD) at ORNL as a fire protection systems engineer and designer. In this role, he developed his skill as a system engineer observing the design, installation and modification of of unique FP systems protecting special nuclear materials. To better his understanding of the additional hazards and specialized operations of NNFD, Mr. Landmesser earned a master's degree in nuclear engineering. For the past three years, he has served as a design engineer and project manager for the Laboratory Modernization Division (LMD) supporting new construction and modernization of existing infrastructure. In this role, Mr. Landmesser has honed his technical acumen and improved his communication skills while building strong organizational and leadership qualities.
