Mr. Bernier, PE, MScE
Alex Bernier is the Program Director at the Connecticut Advanced Pavement
Lab at the University of Connecticut. A former UConn student himself, before
returning to the lab, he spent time consulting in airport engineering. He has
dealt with pavement design and construction at airports across North America
from Canada to the Caribbean including the recently constructed runway 13L-31R
at JFK Airport in New York where he served as the engineer of record. Courses Handled:

Mr. Bonnett, P.E., BCEE
Robert Bonnett has a BS in Natural Resources and a MS in
Civil Engineering. He has been practicing and part-time teaching engineering
for over 20 years. He teaches hydraulics, hydrology, water resources
and environmental at School of PE. Courses Handled:

Mr. Elgammal, P.E., PMP
Muhammed Elgammal holds a BS in Civil Engineering and a MS in Critical
Infrastructure. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of New
Jersey and New York. He also holds a Project Management Professional
certificate. He has over 7 years of experience--which includes material testing
and inspection, construction operations, estimating, project control, and site
design. In addition, he is also an adjunct professor at the New Jersey
Institute of Technology. He teaches construction and material courses at School

Mr. ESSER, P.E., D.GE
Alan Esser holds a BS and a MS in Civil Engineering and has been
practicing engineering for over 40 years. He has published several technical
papers and was admitted to the Academy of Geo-Professionals in 2009. He also
serves on four ASTM D-18 subcommittees. He taught graduate and undergraduate
courses in soil mechanics and foundation engineering as well as a PE review
course for over 15 years. At School of PE, he teaches courses in the

Dr. Fulkerson, PhD, P.E.
Dr. Mark Fulkerson holds a BS in Environmental Engineering as well as a
MS and PhD in Civil Engineering with specialization in Water Resources. He has
been practicing engineering for 15 years, including hydraulics, hydrology, and
surface water modeling. He also has 10 years of teaching undergraduate courses
in water resource. He teaches courses in environmental topics, geometric topics,

Dr. Gurung, D. Engr, P.E.
Dr. Sukh Gurung holds a BS, MS, and PhD in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering. He has over 20 years of experience practicing civil engineering and has been teaching geotechnical engineering for five years. He has proven experience in teaching geotechnical engineering at School of PE.

Mr. Harvey, P.E.
Alex Harvey has a BS in Engineering Physics with a concentration in Civil Engineering. He is a Professional Engineer registered in the state of Florida and is also a Certified Bridge Inspector (CBI). He has experience is in operations management, and project management for bridge rehabilitation, as well as asset management projects in the state of Florida. Mr. Lewis, P.E.
Drew Lewis, PE is a project manager with 11 years of experience in the environmental services and engineering consulting industries. A graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, and has practiced as a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New Jersey since 2018.
His areas of expertise include the permitting, design, construction, operation, closure, and post-closure compliance of solid waste/sanitary landfill facilities located throughout New Jersey, as well as in site assessment and remediation of contaminated sites in New York and New Jersey.
He participated in the School of PE review course for the Environmental PE exam (2018) and credits the rigorous preparation and thorough materials provided by the instructors at School of PE for his success on the exam.

Mr. MacKay, PE, CPESC
Mr. MacKay has a BS in Civil Engineering and an MS in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources. He is a principal/owner of an engineering firm in Pennsylvania and has been practicing water resources engineering for 18 years. He developed and instructs courses for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, including Stormwater Design and NPDES Permits, Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Design, Stormwater Control Measure Inspections, and several others. Mr. Mackay has served as an instructor for the School of PE since 2006. |

Mr. Siegl, P.E.
Nicholas G. Siegl, is a project manager with Gannett Fleming, Inc. He resides in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Texas. He has over 34 years of transportation design experience.
His training experience includes the development and delivery of training courses for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Penn State University, and the School of PE. He has taught review courses for the civil PE exam since 1999, and has served as an instructor for the School of PE since 2005. His area of expertise is in highway design and construction engineering. He serves as a subject matter expert for the development of PennDOT’s Intermediate Highway Design Skills Course, and the Right-of-Way for Project Managers Course. Mr. Siegl also served as lead instructor for the Basic Highway Design Skills Course, which introduces entry-level engineers to the PennDOT’s Highway Design Manual and the AASHTO Green Book. He has also serves as co-instructor of the PennDOT’s Design Exceptions Course.

Mr. Stankiewicz, PE

Mr. Villarosa, P.E.
Mr. Villarosa graduated from
Manhattan College with a BS in Civil Engineering and an MS in Environmental
Engineering. He also holds a BS in Physics from SUNY Cortland. After performing
academic research in predicting metal release from contaminated sediments
during resuspension events, Mr. Villarosa worked as a consulting engineer for municipal
clients. He is currently a Principal Engineer for Orange County Department of
Public Works and teaches engineering classes as an adjunct instructor at
Rockland Community College. Mr. Villarosa attended the School of PE and went on
to successfully pass the PE exam in April 2016 making him a Professional
Engineer in the State of New York. He teaches Water Resources at School of PE. |
