NCEES Exam Schedule

Information about upcoming NCEES FE/EIT, PE, SE, and surveying exams

FE/EIT Exam Dates

Since January 2014, NCEES has offered FE/EIT exams based on a new computer-based testing format (CBT). You may take these exams at any NCEES-approved Pearson VUE test center. The exams are administered year-round.

PE Exam Dates

The table below presents a current schedule for the NCEES PE exams through 2026. All test-takers must get approval from the state board to take the exam by logging on to their state or territory’s engineering board website. Please visit our state engineering boards page to find links to your state’s or territory’s engineering board website that can help you get approval for the PE exam.

We currently offer PE exam refresher courses for the following PE exams:

Please note that PE Architectural and PE Industrial and Systems exams are only offered in April. PE Control Systems, PE Fire Protection, and PE Petroleum exams are only offered in October.

NCEES has offered selective PE exams based on a new computer-based testing format (CBT). The PE Mechanical, PE Chemical, and PE Environmental exams are administered year-round and PE Industrial and PE Petroleum are once per year in October.

We also offer 32-hour California Seismic and Surveying exam review courses to civil engineering students who want to obtain a California civil engineering license.
