The engineer in training or fundamentals of engineering (FE) exams from NCEESREGISTER NOW
The FE Exam or Fundamentals of Engineering exam or in some states the EIT – Engineer in Training exam also known to some as the EI Exam or Engineering Intern are the first of one of the examinations needed passed before you can take your PE/Professional Engineers Exam to become licensed in the United States. Anyone with a ABET accredited degree or you are in your last year of the ABET degree program is able to take the exam. Some of the states that you can possibly take the exam without the ABET degree or you are in your last year of the degree program and would like the take the test are California, Texas and New England. Many states will allow individuals who have never attended an approved course or program to take the exam is they can show proof of a number of years of engineering experience. Each state is different and this information could have changed. Please visit your state board for information on requirements to take the FE/EIT Exam.
